Our Story

You might be asking, “What is Redeemer Church all about?” Quite simply, we’re a redemptive community on a journey. People from all walks of life, imperfect and messy lives, are pursuing and experiencing a transformational relationship with Jesus and each other. Redeemer is a place for everyone, regardless of questions, doubts, backgrounds or struggles.

It’s in the context of this Christ centered church that our lives have found significance. We have grown together and learned to serve one another, the local communities we live in and others around the world.

So go ahead, click around the site and experience a little more of what Redeemer is all about.

Redeemer is One Church With Multiple Locations

We are one church with one mission, led by staff that meets in five locations – Utica (two campuses), Rome, Albany, and Syracuse – at different times throughout the weekend. All campuses share similar Sunday services with live music and programming. The church’s location on South Street in Utica is designed to serve the refugee community with native language services.

The Heidelberg Catechism is our standard for teaching.
The only exception we find with this enduring standard of Christian theology is we do not baptize infants. We encourage everyone to read this wonderfully warm confession of our Christian Faith.
